لماذا يدرس الطلبة الجامعيون في العراق اللغة الأنكليزية كمتطلب أساسي؟

تعد اللغة الإنكليزية من اللغات الحديثة المتداولة عالمياً وهذا ماجعلها وسيلة التواصل الأكثر شهرة وطلباً للتعلم على الإطلاق سواء في التعليم الخاص أو التعليم الحكومي، ولاسيما فكرة ازدياد فرصة الحصول على وظيفة في حال كنت متحدث أو مُتقن للإنكليزية.

إذا ماجلست مع مجموعة من المتحدثين للغة الإنكليزية وسألت ما هي الفائدة التي حصلت عليها من تعلمك للإنكليزية وما هو سبب إتقانك إياها، طبعا ستتعدد الإجابات بتعدد أهداف المتكلم ومنها:

·        منهم من يظن أنه من الرقي إجادة اللغة الإنكليزية.

·        والأخر يظن إنها لغة العلوم والتكنولوجيا وما تعلمها إلا لمواكبة أخبار هذه العلوم.

·        وغيرهم من يبين بأنه مجبراً على تعلمها ليحصل على وظيفة مناسبة تساعده في تحسين دخله.

·        ومنهم يتعلمها كهواية.

·        ومنهم من يظن إنها أصبحت لغة العالم خصوصا أبناء الجيل الرقمي وما اكتسبوه من لغة إنكليزية من الأجهزة الذكية.

·        ومنهم من اكتسبها بسبب متابعته للمسلسلات والاعمال الفنية الأنكليزية.

وغيرها الكثير من الأسباب، أما السبب الذي استنتجه (كمختصة في تدريس اللغة الإنكليزية) من خلال المناهج التي حددتها الوزارة للمراحل الجامعية حسب اعمام وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي المرقم (8053/5 ت ب) والصادر في تأريخ 18/ 10/ 2018 فهو تطوير لمهارات الطالب الأربع: الإستماع والتكلم والقراءة والكتابة بلغة أجنبية (عالمية بسيطة التركيب النحوي وقليلة العدد من حيث الكلمات مقارنة باللغة العربية)، وكذلك توسيع آفاق الطلبة وفتح نوافذ جديدة لمواكبة التطلع على تحديثات العلوم والأبحاث وأراء المختصين في مجالهم من إنتاج العالم الآخر.

أما تدريس اللغة الإنكليزية لغير المختصين بها فيكون تحت مسميين أساسيين وهما: اللغة الإنكليزية لغرض محدد ESP: English for Specific Purpose  أو اللغة الإنكليزية كلغة أجنبية EFL: English as a foreign Language.

المسمى الأول أو مايعرف بالESP غالبا ما يكون عبارة عن برنامج تدريبي لغرض تطوير مهارة محددة أو التركيز على جانب معين من اللغة، مثلا يود مجموعة من المستثمرين السفر إلى بلد أجنبي وهم بحاجة إلى تطوير أو تنشيط مهارتهم في الاستماع والرد باللغة الإنكليزية للتفاوض بشأن العقود الإستثمارية. وهذا مايُلزم مدرس اللغة الإنكليزية بتطوير برنامج تدريبي سريع يصيب هدف مطلب المتعلمين بأقصى فائدة منشودة كتصميم بيئة إستثمارية وتهيئة محادثات إستثمارية حقيقية للإستماع إليها والتدرب على نطق مفرداتها ومعرفة معانيها ودلالاتها وما إلى ذلك من نشاطات.

أما المسمى الثاني أو مايعرف بال EFL (وهذا النوع الذي أوصت به وسنته وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي كمنهج أساسي في الجامعات العراقية) يكون عبارة عن برنامج مُعد ومُهيء بحرفية عالية من مختصين في تدريس اللغة لتنمية المهارات الأربع أنفة الذكر وحسب مستويات متسلسلة تناسب مختلف الأهداف وتستهدف العديد من الإختصاصات بحيث تكون سُلمة لإنطلاق المتعلم في البحث عن مفردات و مواضيع اختصاصه باللغة الإنكليزية والتطلع على وجهات النظر المختلفة ومناقشتها والمبادرة بطرح قضايا أخرى جديدة.
